Curved High Carbon Steel Blade

Handcrafted and Beautiful

Say what you will about the Persians, but they made some of the most beautiful weapons in history. In fact, they really weren't the evil, ruthless, vile people that the movie "300" made them out to be. For much of their rule, the people of the Persian empire were actually an extremely advanced, fairly conscientious and reasonably just empire (as far as violent, conquering empires go, that is). Their artwork was beautiful and the weapons they crafted, similar to this Leopard dagger, were intricate and awe-inspiring.

This dagger is a great representation of the ornate weaponry that was crafted by the Persian smiths. It features a handsome, wide, curving blade with a single smooth fuller running though it. The blade is made from a tough high-carbon steel and is tapered to allow sharpening if that's what your into.

But the most prominent feature on this dagger is the pommel. The brass pommel is carved in intricate detail to look like the head of a regal Persian leopard. This carving matches the wild, dangerous look of this dagger perfectly, while simultaneously giving it a very nice balance and heft.
The polished hardwood handle has a rich, dark red hue to it, similar to mahogany, and features a decorative brass boss in the center. The boss adds a great touch of decoration to the grip and also creates a good grip point for a firmer hold.

The sheath on the Leopard Dagger has a sophisticated set of criss-crossing carvings on the leather and is capped and tipped in brass. This is a very elaborate dagger, perfect as a display piece and completely appropriate for exotic character costumes. Also scares the bejeesus out of mice.

Curious about the Assasin's Creed? Ever wonder about the origin of the word 'Assassin'? Well, lots of other people have. There's a big dispute about the actual etymology of the word, but one well-accepted theory is that it stems from the word hashish. As in, stick-some-in-my-hooka-and-smoke-it hashish. Apparently the assassins of the Middle East used to partake in the "kind bud" to soothe their nerves before eliminating a target. If you play Assassin's Creed, or if you just admire the artwork, then you should probably know that Strongblade carries plenty of gear from the game.
