You ever seen any artwork by famed glassworks artist
René Lalique? If you haven't, go and check out his
"Dragonfly." It's an eerie and beautiful corsage
ornament he designed that combines a gorgeous (and
well endowed, I might add) green woman with an ornate,
colorful dragonfly ( If Captain Kirk was an insect,
there's no doubt he'd be all over her).
This bracelet is a bizarre tribute to Lalique's
Dragonfly. It features the upper torso of a skeleton
with arms spread and huge veiny dragonfly wings
unfolding backwards to form the body of the bracelet. A black cabochon sits beneath the torso like the gruesome eye of Death himself.
It's gruesomely handsome. Grotesquely beautiful. A
fitting reminder of the immortal transformations that
we all go through - the deathly circle of
life.
The bracelet is made in England from the finest
lead-free pewter. One size fits all (the bracelet can
of course be opened or closed slightly for a better
fit.
