One is the loneliest number. Or so I've heard. And two, well, two can be as bad as one. It's really the loneliest number since the number one. But one and a half? Now there's a number.

The hand-and-half sword has been a popular sword for warriors and people who can't make up their minds throughout history. Want to use one hand? Go for it. Feel like using both hands? More power to ya. when you're done, wash your hands and pick up this beautiful, battle-ready bastard sword from CAS-Hanwei.

Yeah, it's battle-ready, meaning you could actually go back in time with it and fight a knight without worrying about it bending. Although you'd better bring a boom-stick with ya, cause I think the knight'll have you out-trained. But you would certainly impress the locals with the 39-inch tempered blade.

The sword is antiqued, which is a fancy way of saying that it's made to look authentic. There's a weathered patina that gives the sword the look of a weapon that has been used for years by a veteran.

This is one of the finest bastard swords we offer, in appearance and strength. I suggest you pick one up and start practicing soon. You never know when that stupid Book of the Dead is going to suck you back to the 13th century.

When Strongblade refers to a "Battle Sword," we are referring to most European medieval swords with blades longer than 35” or so. These type of swords included hand-and-a-half swords (sometimes refered to as Bastard Swords) and the big two-handed swords. Real battle swords had blades well in excess of this, and, in fact, a 35" sword was considered a bit skimpy for fighting skirmishes. But for home use and light sparring, a 36" blade is fairly long.
