Swinging this thing is such a rush. You know you're not going to hurt anyone, but deep down, you can feel your inner Viking waking up. In my particular case, my inner Viking asked for a glass of milk and began looking for fertile women. But my inner Viking is a little odd. This runic axe is one of the most realistic looking foam-rubber axes that we have ever seen. The blade has nothing hard in it, so when you strike, there is no chance of injury (not physical injury anyway). And though the blade has a great shape the true beauty of this weapon is in the shaft. I have no idea how they managed to make foam rubber look so much like wood, but it's awesome. The Viking runes scrawled on the shaft look so much like they are etched into wood that I mistakenly tried to carve my initials and those of my imaginary, Canadian girlfriend next to them. Even better looking than the wood of the shaft is the base of the shaft, which is made to look as if it is wrapped in decorative layers of leather thongs. The cap at the bottom looks like it's made of gold and also has large runes inscribed upon it. If your character carries an axe, or if you just like to practice axe warfare with your neighbor, then this is the weapon for you. Beautiful, exotic and incredibly durable. The molding process and high quality foam used on these weapons allows for an amazing amount of detail and the designs take full advantage of this. And though great looking, their durability may be even more impressive. Two different styles of spine rods on the Conqueror swries allow you to customize your game. One style is made of fiberglass and reinforced with polyester for strength and power. The other style is made from a carbon/fiberglass combination. These latter are considered the "Performance Series" and have a little more spring and a bit more durability to them,but not so much that you'll really notice when using it. Both styles are extremely durable and are fused with the blade and pommel to prevent slippage or torquing.
