Some swords seem to communicate to the world. Their very appearance screams a message out to the world. Usually it’s something like, “Oil me, you oaf!” or “Kindly stop hitting my edge against the edge of that guy’s shield or I’ll make myself shatter and lodge a splinter of metal in your left eye.” This particular sword doesn’t really say anything (my doctor says no sword actually says anything, but I know he’s wrong), but it does communicate a sense of nobility, honor and, yes, goodness.

That said, it probably is a better sword for a Paladin or chivalrous knight character than, say, a barbarian warlord or lethal assassin. But we’ll leave that up to you.

This rugged foam sword is the perfect hero weapon. It has a heroic ball-shaped pommel, wide, courageous guards that slope downward, and a powerful, beefy blade. A comfortable brown suedette grip tells the world that although you are a knight, you are still humble and a man/woman of the earth.

The Knight Broadsword is part of our Echelon series and is rugged, attractive, and cost effective. It’s perfect for Live Action Role Playing, cosplay, Halloween, theatrical use or sparring/weapons training.

The flintlock pistol was the greatest advance in pirating since the wooden leg. The concept was fairly simple: gunpowder was stuffed into the barrel. A lead ball, usually wrapped in some sort of fabric, was stuffed in. A hammer was then pulled back half-way and left that way until the gun was ready to fire. The pistol technically was not meant to fire in this position, although sometimes they were known to go off half-cocked (and yes, that is the origin of that expression). When the gun was ready to be fired, the hammer was pulled back all the way and the trigger was squeezed. If you're feeling flinty, go check out the Strongblade selection of flintlock pistols, blunderbuss pistols and flintlock rifles.
