Feast your eyes on one of the nicest foam battle axes that we offer.

This axe has got it all. It looks amazing, is astoundingly durable, and is much, much safer than sparring with a real battle axe.
The axe features an easy-to-hold, suedette-wrapped grip and a heroically large blade, “held” onto the axe by decorative hinge plates. The hinge plates are, of course, part of the foam design and don’t really hold anything in. But they do look super cool.

This axe is part of our Echelon series and is rugged, attractive, and cost effective. It’s perfect for Live Action Role Playing, cosplay, Halloween, theatrical use or sparring/weapons training.

When Strongblade refers to a "Battle Sword," we are referring to most European medieval swords with blades longer than 35” or so. These type of swords included hand-and-a-half swords (sometimes refered to as Bastard Swords) and the big two-handed swords. Real battle swords had blades well in excess of this, and, in fact, a 35" sword was considered a bit skimpy for fighting skirmishes. But for home use and light sparring, a 36" blade is fairly long.
