Miniature Medieval Crusader Helmet with Cross Shaped Brass Face Accent

This is a miniature Medieval crusader helmet. It is also known as a Sugar Loaf helmet. This helmet stands 8 inches high and is a true replica of the full size helmet. The helmet features a brass face accent in the shape of a Templar cross which when polished will gleam like gold. The Sugar Loaf helmet is an evolution of the Great Helm also known as the Bucket Helm. The Bucket helm had a flat top which did not fare well against strikes to the top of the head. The conical point on the Sugar Loaf Helm did a much better job of deflecting head strike to minimize damage.
