A stoic stranger trudges slowly into town, his face hidden by the wide brim hat he wears. You can tell by his clothes and his bearing that he's from far away. His posture communicates both weariness and confidence, and at his hip is a slender, graceful sword.
The begining of a old western with swords? Not really, but then again, samurai dramas are the Westerns of the East.
This sword is perfect for anyone who wants to impersonate a samurai but is afraid that they'll lose their temper and actually behead someone if they carry a real katana. It's also great for portraying the character from the far-off land (not necessarily an Asian-style land either). And, this is a wonderful training tool for anyone in the martial arts.
The sword mimics a katana very well; it features an extended, suede-wrapped grip (for one- or two-handed operation, a small tsuba (that's a guard, not a musical instrument) and a very clean design.
The grip, like those on all of our latex swords is cored by ergonomic carbon fiber, surrounded by multidensity foam and carbon structural supports, and topped with a comfortable suede wrap.
As mentioned, this is a great weapon for 'outsider' type characters (asian or non-asian) or worldy travelers. Also a fantastic training tool for martial arts. Buy one know and avenge your murdered brother. Or master. Or father. (You get the point).
About Strongblade's Latex Swords and Daggers
In every industry, there is one company that towers above all others. Among weapon vendors, that company of course is Strongblade.com =D. Once one of these weapons is designed, it is put through a minimum of six months of testing and refining before it is allowed to hit the market. Our manufacturer pioneered the use of round carbon-fiber cores in the mass-market, a technology that makes their sword astoundingly strong, flexible and springy. The cores feature special structural reinforcements around pressure areas like the joint between guard and blade. This prevents the weapon from breaking or folding at areas of high stress.
Our manufacturer uses a proprietary multi-density foam. This last, complex sounding sentence means that they use a small layer of dense foam around the core and a larger, softer layer of foam to make the shape of the weapon. This makes for a very safe weapon that can withstand incredible amounts of punishment. This also makes for a unique sword amongst the sea of other manufacturers who simply cast a mold, fill it with one layer of lower quality foam and call it a day.
These weapons feature another design feature unique to them: A Vari-flex Tip design. This is a design feature in the tip that allows them to bend gradually rather than abruptly. Doing this prevents stress on the tip and makes it almost impossible to cause creasing or weak spots that could lead to breaks.
I could go on and on. And come to think of it, I will for one more paragraph, because I forgot to mention the proprietary paint used on these weapons. Our manufacturer uses a revolutionary painting technique on these weapons that is engineered to reflect light exactly as real metal would. The paint is also designed to protect the weapon, providing a strong barrier that stretches slightly with each flex.
