Ah, Strider. Looks like the incognito lead singer for a hard rock band, talks like one of those tough-love priests, and acts like a rogue militia member from Idaho. How can you not love him? (and by love, I mean, think he’s a really cool guy. Just so there’s no misconceptions).

Late in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Strider was given the sword Anduril, the reforged version of his ancestors’ sword Narsil. It must have been a thrill to receive Anduril, but somewhere deep down a little voice in him must have said, “Crap. I’ve already got a kick-ass sword. What do I need that thing for?”

Okay, so Anduril had the weight of history behind it and the symbolism of thousands of years of Gondorian Monarchy. Right, and it was feared by the Dark Lord Sauron. Oh, and it could also make tens of thousands of creepy undead soldiers march at your side. Otherwise, the two swords were equal. Oh alright, so Anduril was much more powerful. But lookswide, the two swords were stunning. Aragorn may not have been much of a public speaker, but he did know how to choose a sword.

Strider’s ranger Sword was an awesome hand-and-a-half sword (bastard sword for you tough guys). It was simple with small touches of visible style, much like Strider himself. The scabbard of the sword was slightly more stylish and had a slot for a Ranger’s knife.

When besieging the Muslim city of Antioch in the 12th century, European knights catapulted the heads of slain muslims into the city to demoralize the soldiers inside. While we don't condone lobbing heads of your enemies into cities, Strongblade does sell knight swords, knight weapons and knight armor, as well as crusader swords, crusader costumes and crusader armor.
