Pompeii Style Gladius with Bone Grip
| • | Low-Cost High Carbon Steel Gladius |
| • | Polished Bone Grip |
| • | Polished Hardwood Pommel and Guard |
| • | Comes with Leather-Wrapped Hardwood Sheath |
There's nothing more hard core than whittling a grip for your gladius out of the forearm of the last guy that you killed. Since there are laws against selling swords made from dead human parts (not to mention actually ... um ... killing humans), we decided against making these out of people bones. We'll leave the actual origin of the bone a mystery (unless you ask us nicely), but the grip on this gladius is indeed made from polished bone.
This gladius model is actually one purchased as samples. The samples (20 of them) looked good, but the price the manufacturer was charging for them wasn't. So, we're not going to continue carrying them, and instead are selling them at discount. So, if you've been wanting a high-carbon steel gladius at a low price, then here's your chance.
As mentioned, the blade is made from high carbon steel, with the traditional V-tip that made gladii such good stabbing weapons. The pommel and gaurd are made from a polished, reddish hardwood, and the shock plate at the base of the gaurd is made from a historically accurate brass.
The sword comes with a leather-wrapped hardwood sheath, trimmed in brass.
