European Bastard Sword

This is a handsome, hand-crafted reproduction of a knight's hand-and-a-half bastard sword. These swords were used for moderate combat conditions by knights. Primarily a slashing sword, this bastard sword could also have been used for thrusting into visors or gaps in opponents' armor.

The sword features a leather-wrapped waisted-grip for easy hand positioning. The blade is made from high-carbon, 18-gauge steel and the brass and pommel are brass.

A perfect sword for sparring (under sanctioned conditions wearing the proper safety equipment), this bastard sword can stand up to just about anything you can dish out.
