Two-handed European Battle Sword

Somewhere between a bastard- and a greatsword, this Warbrand would have been used by knights and soldiers on the battlefield. The size and weight of this sword would have most likely made it a knight's secondary weapon in mass combat (knights would most likely have used a larger greatsword in combat, at least until the sword got too heavy, broke, or the fighting came in too tight). If a knight fell in combat and was still alive, his soldiers or aides would have drawn the Warbrand from his horse and defended him with it until the knight rose to his feet again.

This blade is hand-forged from Strongblade's rugged 18-gauge high-carbon steel, with brass cross and pommel.
