Light-Hilted Swept Rapier
High-Carbon Steel Blade
Ornate Swept Hilt
Chromed Pommel

Out of Stock A light-hilted rapier that looks great on any hip. This rapier features a hand-forged high-carbon steel blade, a smart nickel-plated swept hilt and a wire-braid-over-wood grip.

The swept hilt has finger-loops over the ricasso for leveraged hand-work and a perfect nickel-plated sphere pommel.

Although the blade can take the pressure of combat (under authorized circumstances wearing the proper safety equipment), the intricate hilt is not designed for combat. This is intended as a showpiece, perfect for costumes, collections or hanging over a mantle to be admired by guests.

This sword does not include a sheath, and is meant to be worn using a rapier frog, or simply hung on a wall.

The Japanese katana was often worn paired with another smaller sword or dagger. The shorter sword, called a wazashi (also known alternately as Wakizashi and, occasionally, Fred) measured twelve to twenty-four inches in length. The dagger, a tanto measured six to twelve inches in length. Tonto, from the Lone Ranger, has nothing to do with Asian weapons, but for the record, he was 67 inches long. Strongblade sells lots of katanas. Have a look at our samurai swords.
