The problem with straight-up foam katanas is that, to some extrent, they limit the possibilities of your character. The Leopard Katana solves this problem. It is a katana that has only a hint of katana to it. It looks different enough – exotic enough – to be a different kind of sword altogether, but still retains that katana feel. This makes I perfect for just about any exotic character, be he/she samurai, ninja, barbarian, pirate, swashbuckler, or some whacked-out-but-truly-cool fantasy character type.
The Leopard Katana is extremely rugged and very comfortable. It has a thick blade with a single “edge” and a suedette grip with wonderful white zebra striping. It’s unique, really durable and very fun to swing.

The Leopard Katana is part of our Echelon series and is rugged, attractive, and cost effective. It’s perfect for Live Action Role Playing, cosplay, Halloween, theatrical use or sparring/weapons training.

When Strongblade refers to a "Battle Sword," we are referring to most European medieval swords with blades longer than 35” or so. These type of swords included hand-and-a-half swords (sometimes refered to as Bastard Swords) and the big two-handed swords. Real battle swords had blades well in excess of this, and, in fact, a 35" sword was considered a bit skimpy for fighting skirmishes. But for home use and light sparring, a 36" blade is fairly long.
