This is a royal sword, but it's not the sitting-on-a-throne-doing-nothing sort of royal foam sword. It's more the Cutting-down-your-foes-while-wearing-your-crown-on-your-great-helm-and-shouting-curses-at-the-enemy sort of foam sword. I guess you could call it the hands-on king sword.

The extra long grip on this 44-inch bad boy allows a comfortable two-handed grip and gives the wielder some awesome leverage for powerful blows. And you needn't worry about the weapon getting damaged. It is made from a closed-cell foam that prevents shredding, a Kevlar tip for toughness, and a performance-class fiberglass core that flexes but won't break.

Maintenance: We recommend that all latex weapons be treated occasionally with a silicone lubricant, like the one available below. The silicone will keep the coating flexible and make the weapons last much longer. It also allows for more realistic sliding of weapon against weapon.

The foam used is a closed-cell type of material that don't shred with heavy use like some other foam swords.

Each weapon is cored with a strong and flexible fiberglass rod that allows for excellent transfer of power during swings. The core is swaddled in layers of soft foam to make every blow a safe one.

The tips on each of these beautiful weapons is reinforced with a proprietary Kevlar cap that keep thrusts safe and ensures that the sword's tip will not break.

When Strongblade refers to a "Battle Sword," we are referring to most European medieval swords with blades longer than 35” or so. These type of swords included hand-and-a-half swords (sometimes refered to as Bastard Swords) and the big two-handed swords. Real battle swords had blades well in excess of this, and, in fact, a 35" sword was considered a bit skimpy for fighting skirmishes. But for home use and light sparring, a 36" blade is fairly long.
