We know what you're thinking, and yes, this is a little out of our usual timeline. But what is the Iron Man suit if not armor? And armor is precisely in our realm. So stop wondering and start reading.
This is the helmet banged out by Tony Stark in secrecy while he was being held prisoner and forced to work in a laboratory. He built it out of spare parts using whatever he had around ... cut up suede work gloves for the lining and what not. If only I had some metal and work gloves I might be able to escape this dungeon that they keep me in, writing product description after product description. Ah well. Perhaps I can make some sort of breastplate out of my laptop. And the laser on my lasermouse could be made more powerful somehow.. and .. and... (editor's note: Probably not a good idea to discuss escape plans in a product description, Einstein. Ten lashes for you.)
So ... (oh god, the pain) ... this helmet is a perfect reproduction of the Mark 01 helmet Tony Stark makes in the new Iron Man movie. The deisgners got to work with the actual prop made by Stan Winston Studios and worn by Robert Downey Jr. This version is so authentic, that it actually has cut up suede gloves making up the lining. It's identical to the original Mark 01 Iron Man helmet from the movie in every way.
The helmet is made from hand-forged steel. It's hinged at the top for easy removal and fastens at the sides, (say it with me...) just like the actual Mark 1 Helmet in the Iron Man movie.
The Mark 01 helmet is 12 inches tall, 9 inches wide and 9.5 inches deep. It is fully lined and fully wearable (it fits just about any head, big or small). It includes a snazzy display stand and a certificate of authenticy to prove that you are 1 of only 500 people in the world to own it.
We've mentioned that there will be only 500 of these helmets made. At this point, we feel the need to reiterate that. As Iron Man looks to be one of the hottest movies of the year and quite possibly one of the greatest superhero movies of all time, you might want to hurry up and grab this because we're fairly certain it won't be around long.
