European Archer's Short Sword

Just received this sword, beautiful, well balanced, but will take some time to get a good edge on it. Really like it, will be ordering more from Strongblade.

This sword is beautiful and well balanced. It's exactly what I wanted. The quality is great. I just started collecting swords and I have ordered from three websites. The StrongBlade sword was by far the best quality. The price was fair, not too painful, but reasonable for the product. I am saving money to order from StrongBlade again. I highly recommend.

I belong to a "Hackfest" group where we slice though gallon plastic jugs and throw knives and tomahawks, preferable the M48 style. I was using an 1879 Russian saber with a 35" blade and was only getting 2 clean slices, partial cuts don't count, it needs to be a clean ring sliced off the jug. I purchased Archer's Sword, tempered and sharpened. The temper is great, a file slides right off the blade, no cutting in. The sharpening save me many hours of time. Working my way up from 400 to 3000 sandpaper, it was sharp. Now this may be too fine of an edge for regular cutting, but you need it to get clean slices. So bottom line, I made 5 slices and could of made more as I improve my technique. An experience member used it and got 12 slices and offered to buy it if I was ever interested in selling it. NOPE, NOT YET, WAY TO MUCH FUN.

i purchased the European Archer's Short Sword tempered and sharpened on Monday and it was delivered (today) on Thursday. Super quick (and free on orders over $150), especially taking into account that the item was sharpened before it shipped. the packaging was excellent. the sword, its scabbard and a leather belt frog which i ordered (and essentially got for free since i made me eligible for free shipping - thank you very much for that!) were triple wrapped and double boxed. that was awesome. what a hassle to get a great sword all messed up because it wasnt boxed properly. that is not the case here. the scabbard is a tiny bit too big for the blade (in width) making it rattle some but that is barely worth mentioning. the pommel and handle are secured by a double nut for easy re-tightening. i know everyone wants the pommel peened but once the handle inevitably loosens then what? what else... the hilt is leather wrapped and then wire wrapped making the hilt a little wide but very secure. the blade has no noticeable blemishes and has nice symmetry, has a noticeable distal taper from 2.25" to 1.5" before a more dramatic taper at the point, and has a fuller witch runs slightly less than half the length of the witch is 26.5" in length. the overall length of the sword is 33" with a 6.5" wide cross-guard. the point of balance is 4.5" in front of the cross-guard. overall this looks like an exceptional sword for the money though admittedly it was only just unboxed thus far.

It is beautiful and looks fantastic on the wall. The team at Strongblade went above and beyond to help me get the configuration of the engraving just right. Can't thank them enough. I will definitely buy from them again.

It is one of the nicest looking swords you sell. I always purchase tempered ,sharpened, engraved blades . When the quality is so good I think it is a sin not to make it battle ready, but you must treat it as a real weapon,it is as sharp as a butcher knife .Engraving the blade is like giving a faithful dog a name. This is one of the extras that sets strong blade a cut above the other sword sellers.

I bought this sword, tempered, sharpened, and engraved, to use in my wedding. No one could believe such a beautiful sword cost so little. This is a steal! Thanks for the addition to my ceremony!
