This sword is now available Standard or Fully Tempered!
This sword is as classic a Viking sword as there is. A lofty, carved brass "saddle" pommel sets the tone for this wonderful Norse sword. The pommel is etched with the traditional lines, dividing the "saddle" into sectors or lobes. Just below the pommel is an attractive ridged grip of leather over wood. Three strong ridges create a perfect gripping surface without cluttering the clean lines of the sword. A strong, understated guard finishes the hilt and reinforces the slim look of lethal efficiency that makes this sword so attractive.
The blade, a masterful high-carbon steel, is straight, with little taper to it until the tip, as a Viking sword should be. A thick fuller runs over three quarters of the blade giving it additional strength and balance.
In all, this is a perfect reproduction of a classic Viking sword from the 10th or 11th century. It would have been the right sword for fast raiding parties who needed moderately sized swords that were quick to draw, fast to swing and light enough to run with. The carved ridges on the pommel would have added a bit of class to swords that normally had little decoration.

Viking Raider Sword
I am quite frankly amazed at the quality of the products I have received. So far, the Viking Raider sword and a bearded axe. I ordered the sharpened an tempered model and it certainly is! The axe is everything I wanted it to be and one tough, durable product too. I will absolutely be doing more business with this company. Skol!

I purchased the sharpened and tempered one vern nice mine was one of stratch and dent ones lfew pitts on the blade.have cute nats and various watter bottles with out any problem.nice Viking sword with not having to pay a lot.great customer service.ray blundell

A Viking heirloom!
I purchased one of these some time back with the intent of cutting my wedding cake with it. I got the sharpened, tempered one and had it engraved. When it arrived and I pulled it out of the box, I was blown away by the beauty of it. It's well-balanced and well polished, and if you look lengthwise down the blade you'll see the ripples from hammer marks. I did some test cutting on milk jugs and bottles. It handles fine, but the factory sharpening left a lot to be desired. After a number of impacts the blade twists slightly in the grip, but tightening the tang nut as needed solves the problem. The blade is stiff, but clearly springy and well tempered.
I would call this an awesome, beautiful display blade that can also function as a light-duty cutting weapon. I would not hesitate to bring it into battle if I were a Viking raider. For your money you won't find a better Viking sword.
