SOLD OUT!
This rapier was crafted by the master weaponmakers at Acero Toledano, in Toledo (Spain, not Ohio, mind you). The city, known throughout history for its peerless swordcrafting, continues to lead the world with it's masterful sword creations; and Acero Toledano is possibly the best of those Toledo swordmakers.
Saying this makes me feel gooey and more than a little corny, but I
reallylove this sword. It's a reproduction of the famous cup-hilt rapiers that cropped up in Europe in the 1700s. Acero has given it the gilded touches that make their weapons superior to most reproductions in the world.
The flawless stainless steel blade is light and requires no care (other than the occasional dusting and a kind word here and there). The cup guard is embossed with swirling fleur patterns and helmeted warrior heads. The extended cross carries similar fleur patterns and features an arching finger gaurd that ends near the pommel. Acero uses a silver finish on the guard, cross and pommel. This finish gives the weapon a luster you don't often see.
This is an perfect weapon for a costume or for display. Ideal for hanging two of them crossed on a wall or over a sheild.
