Product Description
The Barong is not a ceremonial ornament — it is a purpose-built blade designed for function, durability, and presence.
Forged from 5160 high-carbon steel, the leaf shaped blade is selectively tempered to machete hardness, giving it exceptional toughness, edge retention, and resistance to impact. Sharpened and battle-ready, its geometry provides excellent control in close-quarter handling while maintaining effective reach for flowing, powerful cuts. Compact, fast, and decisive, the Barong feels alive in the hand.
Rooted in Southeast Asian blade heritage, this sword also serves as a highly capable jungle-clearing tool. The forward-weighted profile bites deep into brush and vegetation, making it equally suited to outdoor utility and serious blade collecting.
The alloy pommel, sculpted in the shape of a bird’s comb, provides a distinctive silhouette and secure counterbalance. The hand-carved handle is shaped for a confident, comfortable grip, allowing precise control during extended use.
Each Barong is paired with a mahogany wood scabbard, kiln-dried and cured to an aged natural finish that reveals the wood’s grain, character, and individuality. No two are exactly alike. The sheath is further enhanced with a hand-carved warrior motif and bound in woven rattan, a traditional reinforcement that prevents splitting while adding authentic craftsmanship detail.
The result is a sword that is as functional as it is striking — built to perform, built to endure, and built to stand apart.
The Barong - heritage form, real-world function.
