Full Tang 420J Stainless Steel Katana with 24-K Gold Plated Hardware

There are durable stainless steel katanas, and then there are ridiculously durable stainless steel katana. This full-tang samurai sword is probably the strongest stainless steel katana we carry.

Made from 420J stainless steel, this sword features a true full-tang. Yes, that's right. The blade and tang are both made from the same piece of flawless steel. Unlike the typical half-rat-tail designs that you see from day to day, this tang is almost as thick as the blade, and actually forms the grip of the sword.

The red hardwood grip is bolted securely into the tang with rugged brass bolts. An impact resistant blackened and cast metal tsuba (guard) protects the user's hands and adds a nice bit of balance to the sword. Perhaps the flashiest thing about this sword though is the 24-karat gold hardware that adorn several portions of this sword (particularly the area just south of the guard (the fuchi)).

This is a brilliantly designed sword, perfect for showing off on a belt or just hanging it in the study as a sign of your sophisticated tastes in sword. It can beat up just about any other stainless steel katana (although absolutely do not try to do this since this sword is sold sharpened and will certainly cause death or maiment (is that a word?) if swung toward or around another human).
